Núcleo SESI (Serviço Social da Indústria) Itapagipe is a NEOJIBÁ nucleo located in the Ribeira neighborhood of Salvador, Brazil. Neojibá has a variety of different partnerships in its satellite nucleos, and this one specifically serves the children of industry workers. The music program is housed in a donated, beautifully historic mansion on the campus of the SESI school, and classes, including special needs music programs for both youth and adults, are given in the morning for children who attend afternoon school and the afternoon for those who attend in the morning. Because of this schedule, SESI is active and lively all day long and constantly filled with the happy sounds of children making music together.
